1084 Petty K-Tip Chef with Red Stabilized Curly Maple Handle
Note: the touchmark on this blade is mildly blemished, due to a repeated, off center hit when hot stamping the blade. there is no effect on the performance of the knife, and the price will reflect the deficiency. images are included
Designed to compliment the larger chef knives I have been making for years, This petty chef is created with the same meticulous care as you would expect from it’s larger companion, offering a more compact and wieldy feel in the hand. Each blade is forged, ground, polished and the handles are sculpted in-house. The smaller design has become a fast favorite of home cooks, and it's often the first knife I reach for myself. Designed for total comfort and confidence, here are some of the features that make this knife special:
The blade is a 3/4 hidden tang design, fitted with a red curly maple handle handle, meeting up to an ebony bolster. The handle has been stabilized with resin, filling any voids and making the wood more dense, more durable, and more water resistant. The blade has a mirror finished choil and spine, rounded for comfort for those who use a pinch grip. The heel of the blade is just around 1.75 inches wide, giving surprising clearance from the cutting board, despite its size.
handle length: 120mm
blade length:150mm
blade heel height 45mm
spine thickness at base 2.7mm
